Design gas fireplace (optional use for a fee). A small selection of wines can be purchased locally.
Mobile suitcase kitchen (galley kitchen) by Kitkase with fridge and small freezer, double hotplate, toaster, kettle etc. The preparation of smaller meals is quite possible. Coffee machine and tea included in the price. Enjoy your stay – we are happy to do the dishes for you!
Private shower room accessible from the hallway with floor-level shower, rain and hand shower and light gray glass mosaic tiles. Bed linen, towels, bathrobes and toiletries are included in the price. Private garden area, large south-west-facing terrace with lounge furniture.

STORY
The Alte Backhaus was built in 1905 as an angular building in the typical factory building style of the Wilhelminian era. The baked goods produced here were sold in the store of the front building. In GDR times an auto repair shop, the small yellow brick building fell into the after-conversion period and was literally saved from demolition in 2006 at the last minute. The monument-specific renovation was awarded a honorable mention by the Leipzig Cultural Foundation. Today, the Alte Backhaus is a listed building and in 2014 was extended by a purist, generously glazed extension and delimited on the street side with a high brick wall.

A few minutes drive to the hip Karl-Heine-Straße with many pubs and shops. The Lindenauer Markt is within walking distance. A walk in the floodplain forest (Leutzscher Holz) or Auensee is also worthwhile. There, canals and sprawling dikes invite you for a walk.
IMPORTANT!
This is an “original” loft in a former industrial building. This means a room, even if it is divided into different areas. Only the shower room is separately accessible via the hallway, with door. This part of the building (half of the house) of the old bakery is one-storey, with access at ground level.

The fee charged for the use of the loft refers exclusively to the accommodation service!
