The Baltic Sea bath Laboe is well known beyond its northern German borders, after all, you went swimming here 100 years ago.
Laboe is a place for sailors, because the Baltic Sea is located directly on the Bay of Kiel, one of vielbefahrensten waterways in Europe. Every day passing container ships, ferries, ships, frigates. In the summer months you can observe this even submarines and the proud crusaders when they break on the big trip to the Baltic region or to the Norwegian fjords.
The beach at Laboe is about 2 km long, 50 m wide, white, soft sandy and the shores are here exceptionally flat. Only after about 30 meters, the water is deeper than one meter and in some places you can almost 100m wade direction fairway in the fjord.
On the beach there are several children’s playgrounds. Directly in front of the sea water swimming pool not only the Non smoking beach but also an action with beach volleyball court, trampoline and electric scooters.
The promenade is lined with many restaurants, small shops and cafes. At the port of fresh fish is served daily from boats and in the seafood there is delicious fresh fish sandwiches. The Laboe promises active holiday fun. Located directly on the Kiel Fjord, come in Laboe young and old get their money. Especially for children are the fine sandy beach and wide, the beach upstream sandbanks an event very special. Hilarity you can swim in shallow water to your heart’s build castles with the white sand. And if there is something colder seawater makes – indoor pool for a successful alternative.
A special highlight is the picturesque marina and fishing port. Here you can buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boats, or take the fjord steamer in the state capital Kiel. Particularly interesting are the submarine U 995, the Naval Memorial and the Marine Biological Station in 42nd Naturerlebnisraum in Laboe.
With its wide range of games, sports and fun Laboe offers unforgettable holiday for the whole family. Until Laboe there are Schoenberg about 15 kilometers along the B502 towards Kiel. From a distance you can see the naval memorial, which you should definitely visit.

We place great emphasis on comfort and refined ambience, the apartments all have a large balcony or terrace. All our apartments have been awarded 3 stars. The house is located away from the beach promenade and the kilometer-long Baltic Sea beach Laboe in excellent Urlauslage above the beautiful spa park only 300m. The fine sandy beach with shallow water offers children an ideal swimming paradise. Also within walking distance there are up to Laboe harbor and to the sea water swimming pool which can be used every day free. The magnificent view of the Kiel Fjord will inspire you on your vacation. Bicycles can be safely deposited with us. A Private parking for your car and bicycle rentals are available. We rent all year!
