The Gulfhof “Uplewarder Grashaus” is located in the beautiful Krummhörn on the north coast between Emden and Greetsiel.
The dike with the camping lighthouse and behind it the National Park of the Wadden Sea (UNESCO World Natural Heritage) are within sight and can be reached on foot or by bicycle in a few minutes.
The Gulfhof is located between the villages of Upleward and Campen in a quiet location, surrounded by meadows and fields.
The apartment “Pilsum” has about 85 sqm and is suitable for up to 5 persons. It goes over 2 floors with a small gallery.
They enter the apartment from the market square – the elaborately redesigned interior of the former barn.
On the lower floor there is the living and dining area with integrated kitchen and bathroom. You will find relaxation in the cozy seating area and the reading in one or the other book. Through the terrace door you enter the separate south-facing terrace with a view of the idyllic landscape.
You reach the upper floor via the staircase. There are the two bedrooms and another toilet.
There are on request two travel cots for toddlers and two high chairs available. The sleeping area is protected by a staircase protection. The price already includes towels and bed linen.
The Warfendorf Upleward made international headlines some years ago with the planning and construction of a beach without sea. Media representatives said this backdrop planned sports and sports facilities as a so-called “dry beach”. An “invention”, which was probably only possible in East Frisia. Today this approximately 1 ha large recreation area with beach baskets, 2 beach volleyball courts, barbecue and an adventure playground is a popular excursion location for young families.
There are also events such as the traditional Drachenfast, the beach soccer tournament and, for a number of years, the annual famous Schlickschlitten race “Waltenmeisterschaft” in Uplewarder Watt. In addition, the Uplewarder Trockenstrand is also the meeting place for the mudflats.
