Property Description
The Umundumhütte was originally built in 1940 and renovated in 1990. Not until 2017 was the kitchen completely renewed. Now the cabin offers enough space for 4 people.
The house has a kitchen with a cozy sitting area, tiled stove, electric stove and electric heating. The kitchen itself is equipped with all kitchen utensils for up to 12 people.
One of the two bedrooms has a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a large double bed. The second bedroom – the “Sternenzimmer” – is located in the basement and contains the shower, a large four-poster bed, a chest of drawers, a nightstand with a CD player and a sink.
Furthermore, there is a wonderful conservatory at the back of the house from which one can observe raindrops and snowflakes while sitting comfortably at the table. From the conservatory leads to the furnished terrace where you are completely undisturbed.
In addition, the entire rear area of ??the Umundumhütte fenced, which is of course absolutely ideal for dog owners.
The small wooden hut next to the entrance is full of firewood for free picking. Also a large lockable garage is available to our guests free of charge.
Also for bed linen, table linen, towels, electricity, wood, and Wi-Fi you do not need to pay extra, it’s all included in the price.
The Umundumhütte is located in a very quiet location on the edge of the forest with only one neighboring house. It overlooks a small meadow, forest and a hill covered with wild herbs behind the Sonnbichlerhof – our farm –
lies. And there, all our guests are always welcome:
In summer, the large pool (4 x 12 m) is the highlight but also a small football field, a ping-pong table, swings, a game house and bicycles or tobogganing are available to our guests at all times. At the farm we have many animals such as: horses, ponies, a llama, cats, a dog, a goat and rabbits that make the holiday an adventure.
If you want you can spend the night in the hay with your children, go for a walk with the goat or sit by the campfire half the night.
Just off the Umundum hut you can hike up to the Stolzalpe and enjoy the peace of secluded forests. The many alpine pastures of the Wölzer Tauern and the Grebenzen Nature Park are also ideal for long hiking tours. Three ski areas are also in the immediate vicinity and Spielberg – DAS Motorsportzentrum – is only 45 km away.
Also, the Fohnsdorf spa is not far and our small, dreamy district town Murau invites you to relaxing walks and discovery trips.
