Welcome to our holiday house “zum Kirschbäumchen” (translated in Eng.: “at the little cherry tree”) Enjoy the pristine view of the nature of the Eifel! The comfortable holiday house is located at the village end, in absolute quiet location, typical for the Eifel. The house is located at an altitude of 500 meters, only a stone’s throw from the Eifel National Park. Due to its central location, many sights and outdoor activities can be reached quickly. The accommodation is perfect for families with children, couples or groups of friends who want to explore and enjoy the beautiful countryside, the vast forests and lakes of the area.
Our Guesthouse is spacious and quiet. The house can be occupied with up to 6 people. It has 3 bedrooms, a living room, a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower / toilet and a large terrace. The living room has a great view on the spacious garden. On hot summer evenings you can sit long time on the terrace and watch the stars on the outdoor lounge or make a campfire on the existing fire pit, grill bread on a stick and singing songs. On cooler evenings you can curl up comfortably warm in front of the wood stove in the living room.
Our house supervisor “Conny” lives in the same village and can offer you instant advice and assistance.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, hotplate, oven, microwave, coffee machine (filter + senseo), toaster, cutlery and crockery.
There is Internet access via W-LAN available
A barbecue is available.
Bikes or motorcycles can be covered and safely parked.
Pets (max. 2 or by arrangement) are welcome.
In winter, a sledge is available for snow fun.
Our house is located in “Wahlen”, a typical Eifel village near the Eifel National Park. “Wahlen” is a southern district of the municipality Kall in North Rhine-Westphalia Euskirchen. Direct neighboring towns are Marmagen and Steinfeld.
Immediately in front of the house you can enjoy the “Eifelsteig”. This hiking route is 313 km long and leads across the Eifel from Aachen to Trier.
Impressive natural landscapes such as the beech- and oak forests in the National Park Eifel, the amazing lakes (Rursee, Urfttalsperre, Oleftalsperre, Kronenburger See, …) and the cultural and historical diversity are ideal for a HIKING holiday.
For CYCLISTS the tour selection is virtually unlimited. All routes are uniformly and consistently signposted and cyclists can indefinitely enjoy the scenic beauty of the Eifel on well-maintained bike paths.
The Eifel is also a real dream for MOTORBIKES. The curvy panoramaroads offer massive fun and invite you to cruise all day long.
The range of destinations in the Eifel is great. Attractions such as old castles remember the past. Beautiful villages seduce you with there traditional historical houses and cozy narrow streets.

In WINTER, especially by snow, the landscape of the Eifel is like a fairy-taile.
Whether tobogganing, cross-country skiing or skiing – in the Eifel there are some nice familiar winter sport possibilities in small ski areas.

Guests can relax and enjoy in “Thermen und Badewelt” in Euskirchen and “Sauna & Wellness Monte Mare” in Rheinbach.
The region offers numerous restaurants with delicious Eifel specialties and international cuisine.
Those who are looking for the city life, they can visit Cologne, about 70 km away.
The house is easily accessible by car from the motorway A1 (direction Trier), which is about 10 km away (exit Kall / Nettersheim).
The nearest trainstation is in “Urft” (about 4km). From here the “Eifel Express” travels between Cologne and Trier.
Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) is about 70 km away. By car it takes about an hour. By train you can reach the house from there in about 90 minutes. (change to Cologne central station).
