The quiet village of Stipshausen is situated directly at the foot of the Idarkopf, surrounded by expansive forests. There are many signposted walking routes leading from the village along streams and past mills in the natural surroundings of the Hunsrück. If you’d like to watch a precious stone cutter at work, it’s possible in Stipshausen. Even more interesting experiences surrounding the sparkling stones are to be found in the jewellery and gemstone town of Idar-Oberstein (approx. 25 km). The towns of Rhaunern and Kirn on the slate and fortress route are also worth seeing. Explore the lovely landscape and the many historic sights of the Hunsrück!
