From here, you are in 20 minutes by car to the Zugspitze or visit the royal castles at Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. In 45 minutes you reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen (by train from Heiterwang nonstop – free with guest card) and in 60 minutes you are by car in Innsbruck. Numerous hiking trails and trails are right outside the front door. The longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world and the castle Ehrenberg are just 3 km away. 10 min to shopping and to the spa in Reutte / Tirol. The Heiterwangersee is within walking distance and offers swimming and fishing pleasure and shipping is an experience.
