This farm is located in the southernmost holiday region of the Black Forest, the Hotzenwald. The Hotzenwald lies between the High Rhine, Wutachschlucht (canyon) and Wehra valley. The area’s favourable climate makes this countryside unique and the region is characterised by fascinating contrasts. During Föhn wind conditions, you’ll have a stunning view of the distant Alps. The house is situated in Wehrhalden, a district of Herrischried, approx. 1000 m above sea level and six kilometres from the main municipality. Wehrhalden is a quiet village nestled along a gentle slope. Spend your holiday at a farmhouse in the countryside. During your stay at this small farmhouse, you’re removed from your daily routine while gaining insights into rural life. Wonderful nature, blooming meadows and unique forests surround you. It is the ideal place to unwind, do sports or take day trips into the surrounding region. The farm has a large garden with a play and sunbathing area where you’ll find various outdoor game equipment such as table tennis, swing, slide, sandbox, a children’s playhouse and a trampoline. A garden house with barbecue and garden furniture invite you to linger awhile. Conclude the evening at the campfire & barbecue site eating stick bread and sausages. There are also lots of activities for children. The youngsters will feel at home here. Guests who are not on a discovery tour and are interested can accompany the landlord as he works in the stables. Amateur athletes can spend their holiday going mountain biking, indoor climbing, swimming or Nordic Walking, just to name a few. In the winter, there’s snow-shoeing through forests blanketed in deep snow, Nordic and Alpine skiing and ice skating. Popular destinations: Bad Säckingen (25km), Freiburg (60km), Basel (55km), Europapark Rust (100km), the Rhine Falls (65km) and many more.
