In Heimbach you can have your own canoe or Leihkanu to water and a couple of kilometers to paddle along the Roer, explore well-marked hiking trails, perceive opportunities for climbing, swimming, beach volleyball, tennis and football, or enjoy a relaxing boat trip on the Rursee. Cultural tours are also possible – and all within the city limits Heimbach.
In the newly built National Park gates Heimbach and Nideggen will find plenty of information about attractions and activities in the area.
If you all unresponsive, because you just want to enjoy the peace and quiet, so is the gingerbread house with its over 2000m² Forest & Meadow land, nestled in a small river valley, an ideal retreat. Here you can hear the birds chirping and a maximum of the stream bubbling away. Bats, lizards and even spotted salamander will feel equally at home.
In the house there is the natural material of wood in all form again: wooden floor, table, chairs, corner seat, stove, cupboard, ceiling beams, stairs and beds reflect the quiet, natural & warm atmosphere resist as it is already promised from the outside without crushing to act. Here you can just forget about the time of day – here are Waldschrat and Fairy at home.
