Located directly in front of Schlosshof Döben, Haus Burgblick has been carefully restored and blends in harmoniously with its surroundings. A splendid fireplace located in a cosy living room heats the entire building. Browse the many books, regional literature, or travel guides shelved in the old tool cabinet. The big sofa fits three bookworms and can be used for sleeping too. An antique door leads to the rustic kitchen, equipped with a dishwasher, large dining table, refrigerator, ceramic stove-top, oven, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, pots, crockery and utensils. Our quaint sandstone floors can withstand dirty feet or rubber boots, and the Mediterranean-tiled bathroom has underfloor heating. Equipped with 2 washbasins, a toilet, and a bathtub with shower curtain, the bathroom is calm and relaxing. An historic staircase leads to the first floor, where you will find both bedrooms, painted blue. The Schloßstraße (castle road) room is equipped with a baby cot, a marble chest of drawers, which can be used to change a baby’s nappies, and a big antique bed. The Kirchberg (church mountain) room is equipped with an antique bed and a sofa bed.
The easy chair in the anteroom is great for reading or daydreaming. Lie about on the comfortable sofa in the half-timbered room, or use it for sleeping if the two beds behind the wooden framework aren’t enough.
We made a conscious decision not to have a TV, so that our guests can spend their holidays enjoying nature, culture, and family.
