Dating back to 1754, this old castle is located in the beautiful Gurktal and offers 4 comfortable and fully equipped apartments and a private swimming pond. Who hasn’t dreamed of living in a castle? The castle’s tranquil and panoramic setting, about 100 metres above the valley, lets you be far away from the hustle and bustle. With central heating, a sauna, a swimming pond, pure mountain air and water from the castle’s own spring, you can really live the good life here. Each apartment has free internet with its own PC, WLAN and digital satellite TV. The village of Zedlitzdorf is located 1100 metres above sea level in the Gurktal. You can make this your base for an array of recreational activities, such as mountain climbing, mountain biking and hiking. The valley ends at the Nockbergen nature preserve, where hikers and nature lovers will really be in their element. A wide range of sights and attractions are just a 20-minute drive away, including the town of Bad Kleinkirchheim with its two thermal baths and the large ski area that is also great for hiking the upper slopes in summer. Other ski areas and ski runs can be found on the Turracherhöhe, the Falkert Alm, the Gerlitzen and in Sirnitz or St. Oswald. You don’t have much farther to go to reach the beautiful southern lakes such as the Ossiachersee, the Millstättersee and Feld am See, where you can go wind surfing, sailing and water skiing in summer, as well as sunbathing of course. Next to the church there is a very beautiful cemetery, which is also shown in the photos. It could happen that at the day of your stay, a funeral takes place. We cannot influence that, of course.
