Ballenstedt is located on the European cycle route R1 / D3, which leads through the enchanted Selketal. There are also many hiking trails and opportunities for mountain bikers in the immediate vicinity. In summer you can refresh yourself at the 2 bathing lakes in Ballenstedt wonderfully. In winter the Bodetaltherme in Thale offers this possibility. A golf course can be found in Meisdorf 5 km away.
