Looking for a fantastic and amazing value holiday in Austria, then come to our lovely 3 bedroomed chalet in Stadl an der Mur in the beautiful River Mur valley (Murtal).Stadl is a quaint, small and sunny village ideal for holidays both in summer or winter. The nearby skiing at Kreischberg is excellent (see details below) and there are several other skiing resorts within 20 minutes including the famous and snow sure Turracher Hohe. In summer there is a lovely local park which contains a swimming lake (fed by pure spring water), a café serving food and drinks, tennis courts, a football field, a beach volleyball court, a roller skating half-pipe, and a children’s play area with wooden climbing frames and rope course. Countless summer attractions and lovely walks are within very easy reach.There are also numerous indoor and outdoor (LIDO’s) as virtually every village has one. The nearest one in ST Lorenzen just a few kilometres away is great!
It is also easy to get to from the Uk and Europe as Salzburg, klagenfurt, Graz and Linz airports are all less than 2 hours away and well served by low cost airlines such as Ryanair .

As mentioned above in the winter there is very good skiing, the nearby resort of Kreischberg has 46 km of skiing of which 72% is either easy or intermediate.

There are 6 other ski resorts in the Mur valley within 20 -30mins drive as well as the very high resort of Turracher Hohe which also has extensive skiing and snow virtually guaranteed from November to end April just 20 mins away..
Our chalet is perfect for families or small groups and is situated in the ‘green heart’ of Austria where the scenery is fantastic.
The area offers a range of winter and summer activities including, tobogganing, horse drawn sleigh rides
ice skating, swimming, tennis, walking, cycling, ski, golf and mountain biking.

The summer toboggen runs like the Nocky Flitzer at the Turracher hohe are great fun for adults and children alike. Within 45 minutes drive are several thermal bath complexes naturally heated to 30 degrees and ideal for the family to swim even out doors in winter!
The village of Stadl is a quaint, small and sunny village it has a population of just over 1,000 inhabitants and has several shops along the main road including a florist, bakers, chemist, post office, hairdressers, police station and a supermarket. There are 2 coffee bars serving snacks and 2 Restaurants/gastofs. The most popular being the Mutalerhof.
In our chalet you will find a pack with a huge variety of leaflets on the numerous different attractions, walks and activities which are available in the area.
Please note we charge a cleaning fee of 70 euros plus 5 euro per person for linen in addition to the rental rate.
