Access is from center village of Gârda de Sus, Alba County, towards Ghetaul Scarisoara (Scarisoara Ice Cave), on macadam street, some 1.5 km along the left shore of the small river Gârda, which flows right across the street, in front of the location . Here, you can fish small trout during open season, if you are lucky enough .
There are many tourist objectives, like caves, wells, springs, waterfalls and mountain paths for hiking up, from where you have marvelous views over mountain heads . Some of them can be reached by walking, 1 to 4 hours, and some by car, 6 to 65 km from the location, but all are worth seeing if you can spare enough time .
We offer own spring drinkable water, hot water, central heating (if necessary), possibilities for the guests to cook by themselves .There are restaurants in the area and small shopping boutiques (food, green grocery, etc .
During winter, the snow falls in considerable high, sledging and skiing can be practiced on the special paths or at sight, close to the location .
Even during summer, you can use ski path cable-way to get on top of the path for a beautiful view, or to reach touristic objectives in the area, where ATW can be hired for hourly trips, driven by yourself or spare driver . Bikes are available as well .
Weather temps are between 10 to 35 degs Celsius during summer and from
minus 25 to minus 5 during winter .Raining and snowing can occur at short notice, but they are beautiful .
Hosts can speak English, French and Italian .
