We cordially invite you to a relaxing vacation in our newly renovated apartment in a leafy residential area, which is mostly built with houses, a. Available is everything you need to spend a relaxing holiday. Shops are within walking reach (baker, butcher), Kaufland and a hardware store located about 5 minutes away by car. Even the BUGA grounds can easily be reached on foot.
You can expect a comfortably furnished apartment (70 square meters), consisting of
• a large living room with dining area and sofa bed
• a separate bedroom with double bed and large closet
• a kitchen with dining area, kitchenette, fridge, cooker, coffee maker, kettle and toaster and all kitchen utensils
• and a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
Before the large windows in the living room there is a large terrace with bench, table and chairs in a green environment.
The Havelland offers many opportunities to explore – whether on the water, in the air, by bicycle or on foot.
About the Havelland-Bike Trail numerous excursions into the countryside. But also the historical center of Rathenow and the newly designed center of the city are worth seeing.
The Westhavelland is also known as an internationally significant resting place for migratory birds and habitat for many endangered animal and plant species. Waterfowl, beavers and otters, sea eagles and red kites are also to be found here, such as the last great bustards Germany. The picturesque mix of small Brandenburg villages, green meadows, forests and lakes and everything Havel joined with its many tributaries dominate the landscape. The blue-green color play, the vastness and the silence enchant guests and residents alike.
So far, less known is the unique dark night sky above the Westhavelland. The region is sparsely populated and so the relatively low light pollution allows an unobstructed view of a cracking starry sky. It’s hard to believe that in the immediate vicinity of Berlin, the Milky Way can be seen in all its glory in the sky.
The International Dark Sky Association (IDA) has the natural park Westhavelland recognized in February 2014 as the first Star Park Germany. The administration and the municipalities of the Natural Park have set themselves the goal of more environmentally friendly and needs-based lighting to preserve the natural landscape nocturnal and thus to protect the nocturnal habitat.
