Rüttenscheid is one of the most attractive districts in Essen. It is located about two kilometers south of the center and offers both vibrant life on the promenade “RÜ” with restaurants and pubs as well as green shares such as the Grugapark or proximity to the popular southern Essen with Kruppwald and Baldeneysee.
Rüttenscheid has its own, very attractive weekly market – here you meet on Saturday for watching, enjoying and chatting.
The subway goes in a few minutes to the main train station, the city center and Messe Essen; Bus lines to other parts of the city.
