Experience nature and culture in the South Eifel Nature Park, but the apartment is the ideal starting point! An extensive network of hiking and cycling trails opens up the unique surroundings – the valleys of Sauer, Kyll, Prüm and Nimms, the adventurous sandstone rock landscape of the Ferschweiler Plateau and the Little Switzerland of Luxembourg. Hike from the Devil’s Canyon to Irreler waterfalls or through the Butzerbachtal, discover rare plants and animals, learn the many cultural treasures of the area know, Roman villas, castles and baroque palaces. The Roman city of Trier, the 11 km distant Luxembourg border town Echternach and the capital Luxembourg are worthwhile goals.
Trier with its many sights is in 20 – 30 minutes away and also Bitburg. Luxembourg City can be reached in 40 minutes.
In the adjacent Rosport there is a wonderful adventure playground at Ralinger Reservoir. There is also the possibility in the summer months down waterskiing. Canoe tours on the Sauer are a very special experience.
As a border river, the Sauer also offers the opportunity to fish.
In our districts there is the possibility to hunt for hunters by arrangement.
A visit to the Dinosaur Park and the Nature Park Centre Teufelsschlucht offers itself. Extensive hiking trails to trekking tours in the nearby region Mullertal in Luxembourg.
