Our apartment is located in Dresden Oberloschwitz, a Dresden district in the popular north of Dresden, above the terraced vineyards. Here, the Elbe, Pillnitz Coming meanders along, seems zurückzuneigen respectfully, then yet to conquer the city. Oberloschwitz was first mentioned in 1315. The name goes back to the Slavic clan leader Lozek. Earlier alongside the capture of the wine was the main occupation. From the 17th century. Century built many Dresden artists and other citizens their summer residence in the local vineyards that arise just back along the Elbe valley.
Beautifully the Loschwitzer Church, 1991 rebuilt. The world famous bridge “Blue Wonder” combines our district with the opposite Dresden-Blasewitz. Where rests the bridge, idyllic places came to stay, enjoy and Schoppen. They are also the best starting point for jogging, walking or cycling or long walks in the beautiful Elbe Valley – directly in the old town of Dresden. Those who continue to like here can start his tour into Saxon or Czech Switzerland. Or opt for the easy way with a historic steamboat, applies here.
In addition to the “Blue Wonder” is the 1895 built funicular at Louisenhof (a well-known restaurant) and the monorail from 1901 to “beautiful view”. The old village center of Oberloschwitz is united with a new community center, the old town center was again lovingly restored.
