From here you can walk on beautiful walks in the Schönfelder highlands or in the ‘Valley’ undertake. In about 15 minutes you can reach on foot the Elbe or just admire the villas on the Elbhang.
Destinations: The city of Dresden has a lot to offer culturally. Not only the Dresden Frauenkirche, the Semperoper, the Dresden Zwinger, the Residenzschloß and much more on the old town side, but also the Neustädter Markt, the Goldene Reiter and artful shops like the Pfunds dairy on the Neustadt side will give you entertaining and interesting day trips. Books about Dresden, hiking guide, tour planner, information and tips are of course in the apartment.
The Saxon Switzerland with the bastion, the Schrammsteinen, the fortress Königstein and the labyrinth invite to wonderful excursions. The bastion can be reached by car in less than half an hour.
Also Moritzburg, Meissen and Radebeul are popular destinations.
A little further, about 1 hour’s drive away, you can paddle in the Spreewald.
The beautiful old city of Bautzen is also reachable in one hour.
Shopping: The nearest supermarket is 1.5 kilometers, the bakery and the beverage market are within walking distance.
Transport: On foot you reach the bus stop ‘short road’ of the Hochlandexpress in one minute. It will take you to the DVB bus stop in Niederpoyritz, 1 km away. From there you can change direction Dresden or Pillnitz.
