Mulberry House is a spacious and private, fully renovated stone house nestling on the edge of the hamlet of Rou in the hills above the North East coast of Corfu.
With unparalleled views across the Corfu channel to Albania and the the Greek mainland, Mulberry offers unique luxury accommodation for couples seeking the authentic Greece and traditional Corfiot hospitality, with easy access to the beaches and bays of North East Corfu.
Named after the ancient mulberry tree on the driveway, its our pleasure to offer our lovingly restored stone house set in its own private grounds. Enjoy the glorious sunshine on one of the extensive private terraces, cooling in the plunge pool, or sit under any number of olive and almond trees as the scent of lavender and rosemary wafts by.
The House itself features a large lounge with french doors onto a balcony with glorious views across the Corfu channel to Albania beyond. The air conditioned feature bedroom with one super king size bed and large en-suite bathroom, has its own access direct onto a stone terrace. You might be serenaded to sleep by the Scops owl sonata whilst watching fireflies dancing outside, or awake to a glorious sunrise over the Albanian mountains.
While we’ve worked hard to maintain the traditional character of the house, that hasn’t been at the expense of modern amenities: from super-fast WiFi (a rarity in Corfu) to an extensively kitted-out kitchen and en-suite bathroom.
Situated on the edge of the once abandoned hamlet of Rou, a few minutes from the traditional mountain village of Porta with its two authentic little tavernas and locals’ cafe, and yet only 20 minutes by car from the coast and some of Corfu’s finest restaurants, beaches and coves: Agni, San Stefanos, Kerassia and Kalami (with its famous White House, some-time home to the Durrells).
There are fabulous walks from our front door to heritage villages like Megoulas and Old Perithia, criss-crossing the famous Corfu Trail.
Mulberry is designed for couples, and is not suitable for children or teenagers. Given it’s remoteness, a car is essential.
