There you will enjoy the promenade and small harbour as well as numerous wine bars, restaurants and little shops. A short walk from the holiday home, extensive forests with hiking trails invite you to explore the charming countryside. As you stroll through the narrow alleys of the historic old town, the market square – probably the most visited site of the Terrassenmosel – is impossible to miss. Right in the middle of the rectangular market square you’ll find the impressive market fountain dating from the year 1906. The market square is surrounded by historically significant half-timbered houses, old town homes and Cochem’s town hall. More than 100 metres above the district city Cochem, on a widely visible hilltop, lies the town’s majestic landmark. The Reichsburg Cochem ist the largest castle among all the hilltop castles situated along the Mosel. Trier and Coblenz are very easy to reach and are definitely worth a visit.
