Klotten is a popular wine village, known for its cozy restaurants and terraces, and with its walking and cycling routes ideal for the sportive holidaymaker. For your daily fresh bread you will find the bakery around the corner, and also for your daily shopping you can go to Klotten.
Outside the village of Klotten in the direction of Cochem you can find the “Wild und Freizeitpark” Klotten. A nice family park for a day out with the children. Apart from various wildlife there is also a real whitewater course, and with the chairlift you can go to Cochem. For the real tourist crowds go to the famous place Cochem (10 minutes by car, 3.5 km by bike!) with shops, terraces, and restaurants. Various round trips on the Mosel start from Cochem. See the romantic wine villages and historic Moselle towns from the water, you will really see other things than from the shore.
You will be amazed by the beauty of the Moselle landscape and enjoy the impressive surroundings along the way. In the “Freizeit Zentrum Cochem” you will find a large indoor swimming pool with slide, sauna, wellness, tennis court and mini golf.
Because of the favorable steep slopes, the Mosel country is one of the areas with the most castles and fortresses in Europe. They are almost all by car, but also on foot to reach wonderful hiking areas. Also a trip by train is possible, less than 500 meters away you will find the Station in Klotten, with a direct connection to Koblenz and Trier.
