Experience a sailing vacation on a small yacht! The Sunbeam 29 is an ideal ship for the Neusiedlersee – with a 4KW electric motor succeed landing maneuvers without problems! The massive Tumof gives a security even in rough conditions!
The boat is comfortably built in mahogany and offers enough space for 4 adults!
If you want to sail the sailing boat you need a valid sailing license / for Austrian citizens this is the sailing license A!
If you do not have permission – I can arrange a skipper for excursions who will sail your sailing mission for a fee and steer the boat during the day!
For those who do not know the Neusiedlersee personally, it should be mentioned that this steppe lake is about 1.4m deep on average – in summertime it reaches quickly pleasant bathing temperatures – but in strong winds it should not be underestimated! The big danger is the cloudy water that has an excellent water quality but due to the many suspended particles appears cloudy! If something falls into the water that is not floating, it is pretty much sure that it is not concocted because you can not find it anymore – inexperienced swimmers or non-swimmers should definitely wear life-jackets! (Are on board)!
But mastering the basic concepts of seamanship makes it a unique adventure to experience the lake from the water! Wild geese and many other birds besiege the lake and in the reeds you can always discover a few rare migratory birds with binoculars!
Also, there are in recent years more and more restaurants right on the lake you can head for / and at the local moorings a stay is very happy with consumption – with water and electricity at the mooring! Details on this I will write down here!
