Built during the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1890 by David Mandl and Rosa Aron, the house was used by a bank (Societatea Bancara Romana) in 1930’s and poorly adapted for working class dwelling during the 1950’s. The beautiful metal gate, the windows from the building doors, and the balcony floors, still bear the inscription SBR (Societatea Bancara Romana). We have preserved and restored the large double doors and the old parquet – which may squeak and crack under your feet.
This ultra luxurious and brand newly renovated studio apartment is located in the very heart of Brasov’s historic district directly next to the main square of Piata Sfatului and near all of downtown Brasov attractions including the well-known Biserica Neagra which is across the square.
