NEIGHBORHOOD
Prenzlauer Berg and especially the Bötzow district is one of the best residential areas in Berlin. In front of the house is the Volkspark Friedrichshain – it is the oldest Volkspark in Berlin and the main attraction is the large fairy tale fountain at the western park entrance, which shows figures from the Grimm fairy tales and other animals. In the park there are sunbathing and barbecue meadows, large and well equipped playgrounds, a duck pond with restaurant, beer garden and snack. In the neighborhood of the apartment you will find the film theater Am Friedrichshain.
All shops for daily needs are in the immediate vicinity.
The quiet Bötzowviertel is not far from the busy Kollwitzkiez with its many cafes, restaurants, the charming weekly market and the cultural brewery. Berlin Mitte with Hackesche Höfe, Museuminsel and Alexanderplatz are within walking distance or by tram M4 in a few minutes to reach.
TRANSPORT
By tram M4 you reach the Alexanderplatz in 5 minutes, a few minutes later the Hackescher Markt where you can walk the Museuminsel, the government district and the amusement mile Oranienburger Straße. The bus 200 leaves the front door and with a day ticket or the Berlin WelcomeCard you can easily enjoy your own city tour, get off the main sights or simply admire the past.
