From the neighbourhood in which he once lived next door and penned his environmental studies, a beautiful district has emerged by now, although even now the old Berlin days can be sensed. Treptower Park is very close by and from the very near Nöldnerplatz suburban railway station, the Alexanderplatz can be reached in 7 minutes.
In this neighbourhood (Victoria neighbourhood) near Ostkreuz, so much has been invested in recent years in the renovation of old houses and the old facades are awakened to new heights. New shops and restaurants have come up.

You are away from the hustle and bustle of big city where the apartment is located and still reach Alexanderplatz, or the city centre within a few minutes. The public transport runs all night, so you can celebrate extensively. But you can return to the quiet apartment to sleep peacefully.

*Heinrich Zille 1858 – 1929

HZ was a Berlin painter who had lived for a long time in this neighbourhood. Next door at Geusenstr. 16 – Some of his early pictures were taken here. This house was built at the Zille’s time and 120 years ago, typical residential building from that time period. Zille’s ‘Miljöh’ must have taken place in this building. Presently the building is adapted to today’s living comfort. This was the background to bring the apartment in conjunction with the name Zille.

During your visit to Berlin, you are also welcome to walk in the footsteps of HZ. The Zille Museum in the Nikolai Quarter takes you back in his time. Finally you can end your visit in the rooms of Zille.
