Welcome to Berchtesgaden in the altitude of 1000 meters located in Buchenhöhe in our cozy, fully equipped apartment in a quiet location, with large sun terrace, adjacent meadow and stunning mountain views (- when barbecues or just while relaxing ;-).
The magnificent sun terrace is easily accessible both from the bedroom and through the living room. There the sun shines in summer from noon to late evening.
The balcony with its view of the legendary Untersberg invites to sunny, warm days for breakfast outdoors.
In summer it is mountain holidays for hiking, climbing, cycling, swimming in natural lakes and many, many other leisure activities.
And also to rest, come down and enjoy!
In winter, wonderful winter hikes, toboggan runs, ski slopes, cross-country trails and last but not least ice skating. You can relax in the sauna of the Watzmanntherme. Or a good tea, an entertaining board game, a thrilling movie or a good book in our cozy little apartment!
Location and equipment of the apartment were classified with 3-star + (F ***).
With the Kurkarte you can use the RVO bus lines free of charge (also travel to Salzburg for a small fee).
In the south of Berchtesgaden lies the third largest mountain in Germany: the Watzmann (2713 m). A bit further you can visit one of the last small glaciers in Germany, the Blaueis, in the nearby Hochkaltermassiv.
One of the biggest attractions is probably the Königssee with its pilgrimage church St. Bartholomä and the hiking possibilities – z. For example, to the ice chapel (highly recommended, about 2 hours) at the foot of Watzmannostwand. or the Fischunkelalm at the end of the Hintersee (bathing possibility), which is cultivated in the summer months. Daring go z. B. the Rinnkendlsteig back to the departure point of environmentally friendly electric boats of the Königsseeflotte.
The salt mine with its giant slides and the ride over the underground lake is fun, but especially for the children.
The royal castle Berchtesgaden is like many other museums (Heimatmuseum Schloß Adelsheim, documentary site Obersalzberg, Haus der Berge, Romy Schneider – which spent her childhood here – Sissi exhibition, Enzianbrennerei Graßl and others) always a good alternative, if the weather does not play along ,
Children and adults are always enthusiastic about the eagle enclosure that can be reached on foot – especially if you have nuts and almonds with you and can feed the cute, free-running marmots.
Friends of old locomotives come in the locomotive world in Freilassing (about 45 minutes by car) as well as people who love old villages and old craft in the open-air museum in Großgmain (about 40 minutes by car).
And the Berchtesgaden National Park, with its 6290 hectares, invites you to fantastic hikes through the magnificent mountain landscape and impressive mountain tours. Whether it is in Klausbachtal past the Ramsau Dolomites behind to the golden eagles, whether it is through imposing gullies (Almbachklamm, Wimbachklamm) goes, if you look for a hiking trails to reach peaks, if you visit one of the rustic mountain huts, where you fresh milk and cheese or bacon bread, opportunities are offered summer and winter. Even the autumn with its colorful coloring of the forest makes some people’s hearts beat faster – there are no limits here.
