In the holiday home you will find many amenities. The spacious main room consists of living and dining room (about 60 m²). The living room is equipped with large dining area, TV, DVD / CD player and large corner couch. The fully equipped kitchen has a ceramic hob, dishwasher, toaster, water cooker, coffee maker, etc. There are 3 double rooms, 1 children’s room with 2 cots and a sleeping sofa for 2 adults.
The main bathroom has a shower, a bath and sink. The guest bathroom with WC; Sink and accessible shower.
The house has a large terrace equipped with garden furniture and parasol.
The garden offers plenty of space for children with sandbox and small inflatable pool. A barbecue on the outdoor terrace invites you to cozy evenings under the open sky.
And if the weather does not play – games are endless for big and small because the house is inhabited by us as well and we are also a family with children.
Hiking or Cycling: There are 4 hiking trails in front of the house. Around Betzenstein there are 30 marked hikes with approx. 300 km for all requirements, from flat-top to the via ferrata (Eibgrat). Highlights are the nature trail (42 km / 2 days) and the “Streuobstwiesenweg” from the Nature Conservation Association. A section of the “Wassertein” circular path is adapted for the handicapped and is therefore easy to drive for wheelchair users and baby carriages. All hiking suggestions, maps and many other informations are available for you.
Other leisure activities:
In addition to the extensive hiking network, there is one of the most beautiful heated swimming pools in Franconia and Germany’s highest climbing forest in Betzenstein. In the surroundings you will find many opportunities for climbing, horseback riding, golfing, fly fishing and bowling. With bicycles you can go on excursions to the nearby recreation and Western park (Fränkisches Wunderland) or to the nature reserve Veldensteiner Forst.
There are guided cave visits, a summer toboggan run and Felsenbad (about 10 km).
The Nuremberg zoo, the Playmobilland in Fürth and the adventure park Schloss Thurn near Forchheim are worth the money for the children.
Beautiful day trips offer the historical cities of Bamberg, Regensburg and Bayreuth.
For bad weather there is the Frankenalb-Therme Hersbruck as well as the spa Obernsees (each about 30 km) for wellness and water fun.
Climbing / Freeclimbing: The Frankenpfalz offers lots of challenges for practiced and less experienced climbers around the communities of Betzenstein, Plech, Neuhaus, Auerbach, Velden, Hirschbach, Hartenstein and Königstein.
