Our holiday home that we used until 2011 as a family home, is located on the Baiersbronner Oberndorf. DC in. 1 Year of renting we were with HomeAway Holiday House of the Year 2012 in the category family holiday. We are very proud of this award and strive every day our guests to satisfy. Very central, yet quiet and with a view almost to Ruhestein and Hornisgrinde the house has one of the best locations in Baiersbronn. Throughout the house are massive wooden floors, on the ground floor all walls are whisked or whitewashed and spread so a homely atmosphere. A cozy kitchen, with everything for cooking / baking is desired. Enough crockery / cutlery, and our rustic cast iron stove, which allows them to heat up as before the grandmother, but also cook and bake is possible here. In the center of the house is our stove which can heat the whole house and its hot air flow is led directly into the bathroom, so that they can take a relaxing bath in the large corner bath. The central heating completes the luxury. You have 4 bedrooms, one with a double bed 2×2 m, 2 x double. 1,40x2m bed and a bedroom with two single beds 90 x 2m. Books and games are at home for young and old abound.
Not to mention …..: In the hallway is a piano, of course, there are notes that they can use for house music. In the living room are 2 large leather sofas and a wing chair, which invite you to cozy ‘Lümmeln’. In winter you can watch the birds from the sofa, as they rest outside on the terrace at the bird feeders. Your holiday home is on a single-lane road, without sidewalk, with a slope of 19%, hence the name of the house and the address. That it is quiet here, we do not want to hide from you. The access to the house is possible at any time, even in the dead of winter and with plenty of snow. In summer you can sit on the terrace, prepare your dinner with the stainless steel grill and watch the sun disappear behind the peacestone. The bakery, butcher, restaurant, church, train station, magazines, bookstore, perfumery, hiking center, tourist information, village center in general can be reached very quickly from our house. Central yet quiet, that’s it. The Wanderinforationszentrum on Baiersbronner station is easily accessible, just go down hill, through the park landscaped going Ruck Zuck.
Our trappings: A balcony with two sun loungers and an overwhelming distant view is just as part of your holiday home as the ingrown terrace with southwest facing, which is located at the house. Pitches for 3 cars are in front of / next to the house and a bike rental 100 meters down the hill. Arriving by train is possible, a car is not necessary, since everything can be done on foot. Not 100 meters from the house you are in the middle of the forest and can walk to Freudenstadt market square. Or take the train to Freudenstadt and hike back to Baiersbronn, come right at home again out of the woods. All public transport is included in the tourist tax and free for our guests to use. Our house will undergo a major renovation in the winter of 2018/2019 and will be available for rent again at Easter 2019. Until then, there are only a few weeks left to rent in autumn and late summer. The renovation is not really necessary, but we want to stick to our standard and that also means acting before it becomes necessary.
Our feel-good package for you: At our house, they have no additional costs. Heating, firewood, water and electricity are included as well as bed linen, towels and table linen. You will also find sugar, flour, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper in the kitchen, and a bottle with a delicious welcome drink will welcome you in the kitchen. In the wet rooms you will find hand-sewn natural soaps specially boiled for your stay. Hiking maps and books as well as periodicals from the area will help you to organize your holiday. The children’s room is well equipped with a table and two chairs, a stool, crayons, paper, children’s books and crafting material to keep boredom on a rainy day. The living room has a large flat screen and about 60 DVDs and CDs as well as a large selection of books. On the ground floor there is a drying room with washer / dryer which is helpful for the housewife and the skiers. For special wishes we are always there for them, they ask us, we will gladly help.
For babies and toddlers we have a cot that you can use if necessary.
They live in the house on the mountain alone, no one bothers you here and no one bothered. All neighbors are far enough away that you are not disturbed by you.
