– near Alsace, Colmar and Vosges, Basel and Switzerland, Freiburg and the Black Forest.
The house
Our house was designed in 1995 by your hostess, Monika Gebhardt, according to ecological criteria and – if reasonable and possible – built and designed with building biologic materials. It is located in a privileged villa district in the west of Badenweiler at the foot of Hochblauen.
The house is embedded in the natural, well-kept garden. From the residential road a natural path leads from the in-house car park and carport through the garden up to the apartment of the hosts and the architecture and art and on the natural pond to the separate entrance of the apartment on the garden floor. Enjoy on your terrace and in the beautiful rooms the heavenly peace and the immediate proximity to nature!
The apartment
The apartment is designed for two holidaymakers, who value commonality and individuality. From the weather-protected, furnished terrace you get into the small kitchen of the apartment. Entrance and kitchen are located between two comfortably equipped, bright rooms, from which one looks through the wide terraces (with shutters) into the garden and on the pond. Each room has its own and directly accessible shower room with WC. All floors are tiled and partly covered with carpets.
The two rooms are decorated with works of art by the hostess (My paintings – Monika Gebhardt-Korth) and furnished with waxed and oiled wooden furniture: round table with chairs and comfortable eccentric chair, floor lamp, chest of drawers or secretary and wardrobe. In one of the rooms there is a 1,00 x 2,00m bed, in the other a 1.40m wide, which is also comfortable for two people. The beds are equipped with new cold foam mattresses on adjustable slatted frames. (Duvets are “standard”, if you need wool covers, please notify before arrival!)
The kitchen-, bed- and toilets are provided by us for the entire period of booking, also the towels for your spa visits! You have direct access to the laundry cabinet. Hair drier and small things for the body care you find in a drawer. On request, we will gladly provide you with a radio / CD player. Of course you have wireless internet access.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything necessary. On request, we can provide you with a cereal mill, and you will also find an espresso-maker. If you are looking for suggestions in your holiday home: In the back part of the house is the hobby room with books, TV (Sat) and a Crosstrainer available. We – my husband and I – occasionally use this space.
The garden
We love diversity and colorfulness!
Many places in our nature garden invite you to look and relax – the seat and the “bankina” of Maggia granite at the pond, the sun loungers on the terrace and under the mirabelle tree.
When the 1996 garden, the decision for a body of water and the selection of shrubs and shrubs were made, the focus was on the fact that birds and pigeons are also comfortable with us (there are no un-herbs!) , From the garden herbs we prepare our teas, from fruit shrubs and trees can be nourished.
The lawn is not to be a gulf of frogs, the perennial wilderness, “eye-candy”, the bushes nesting places for all sorts of birds, the pond habitat for snails, orange-bellied newts and frogs. And if you are witnessed by the metamorphosis of a splendid belleve, which has lived 4 years under water, then this is a very special gift.

Price for the apartment for you € 55,00 / day, incl. Electricity, water and of course incl. Use of the hobby room.
We rent from 5 nights!
Additional costs
– Tourist tax € 3,00 per person / day (high season 01. 04. to 31. 10) and € 2.60 per person / day (low season 01. 11. to 31. 03.)
– The spa card gives you free travel on buses and regional trains throughout the Black Forest
