From the balcony you’ll have a terrific view of the stunningly beautiful Black Forest region with its scenic mountain meadows and fir trees. Bad Rippoldsau and the surrounding area offer a well marked network of hiking paths leading to the mountainous regions of the Black Forest with numerous natural highlights such as magnificent viewing platforms, natural lakes, creeks and valleys. Nearby you’ll find extensive health resort offerings – the well-known mineral and mud bath, for example – as well as recreational activities such as miniature golf, fishing or visiting the open-air pool. In the winter you have access to numerous ski lifts and idyllically situated, well-prepared cross-country ski trails. Other popular destinations are Freudenstadt, the Triberg waterfalls, Baden-Baden, Strasbourg or Freiburg. The KONUS "guest card" that is included in the tourist tax guarantees free rides on the train or bus throughout the Black Forest and free admission to various leisure facilities.
