XXL Villa Entire Floor, Near Vienna, A1 Reviews, Baden bei Wien, Austria.

8 People|3 Bedrooms|

Property Description

Baden bei Wien, is just 25 mins from Vienna by half-hourly train service.
We welcome single travellers and groups alike (but strictly no rowdy parties).
White Villa offers spacious, high-ceilinged and newly re-furbished top class self-catering boutique accommodation aimed to provide your every comfort and convenience with newly installed 42″ HD “Smart” TV with free English/US stations as well as Netflix etc and of course all the local stations too.

Situated in this fascinating thermal spa town with great summers, and very cosy winters, surprises include a glamorous casino, over three thermally heated luxury swimming baths, a huge choice of outdoor and indoor restaurants and wine taverns (with food), invigorating walks on well-maintained pathways, either high in the forested hills or down on the valley floors (directly from the front door).

Around 40 minutes drive away is a UNESCO world heritage site in the form of one of Europe’s biggest and most unusual ‘plain lake’ (Steppensee) being entirely spring fed and therefore having a fascinating feel to it.

Many small resorts line this lake’s shoreline including a large outdoor water theatre and a notable outdoor classical music sound stage built in the cliffs of a vast Roman settlement.

The apartment itself occupies the main part of an architect-designed 1960s luxury villa, and spans the entire ground floor which extends over the integral garages due to its split-level layout. The rooms are very large and comprise three double bedrooms, spacious kitchen-dining room, XXL sitting room with grand piano plus flat screen TV and a luxury bath/shower room.

With the only other apartment in the building being situated above on the the attic level, guests can be assured that thick concrete floors separate the two residences meaning ambient sound cannot pass through.

The property, like most properties of the region, is built with one foot thick walls meaning the house stays cool in summer and cosy warm in winter.

The accommodation is laid out as follows:

+ Completely private entrance from outside
+ Large farmhouse style kitchen / dining room with French windows onto twenty foot fully furnished breakfast verandah
+ Ultra-large living room with grand piano and log burning stove
+ Master bedroom with glazed french door onto twenty-foot covered verandah
+ Family bathroom / shower room
+ Two further double bedrooms (twin at request)
+ Spacious inner hall / further sitting area
+ Sauna available for bookings (complete with power shower and drying area

Complimentary welcome pack:

There are several leisure parks for children as well as ancient towns where stalks arrive in springtime from Africa and inhabit big nests atop the village chimney stacks.

The area has a special feel to it and the standard of food, wine and other beverage is second to none with the county’s wines having a unique and distinctive purity and having won awards the world over. SOOSS
Within walking distance of the town of Baden lies the start of the Sooss wine-producing region, an absolute mecca for not only wine lovers, but lovers of great social evenings full of chat, humour and good food. Sooss village is in the heart of the vineyards, consisting of around 40 individual wine outlets which serve their own wine together with a broad choice of home produced hot and cold food, direct to the public at wholesale prices.

Nick Dobson, independent wine expert and founder of Wines of the World writes about Austria:

‘Austria is quite simply one of the most fascinating wine producing countries in Europe today. Steeped in culture and history, it has a wine growing heritage stretching back over three millennia. Austria produces some of the best wines in the world, of unparalleled quality, from grape varieties not grown elsewhere. Yet remarkably, her wines remain relatively unknown and under-represented in the UK.’

Note: The apartment lies approximately 15 minutes walk downhill to Baden town centre. To avoid an uphill walk back, a taxi or rental car is recommended. There are plenty of taxi ranks in the town centre and the short journey costs around £3-£4.
