From Cranmore station with its museum and 100 year old signal box to Mendip Vale and the sight of trains ‘running around’, there are four stations and 2.5 miles of history to dive into on the historic East Somerset Railway, and you can experience it as your ticket allows unlimited travel.
There are areas to picnic at Cranmore station which is also home to the Whistlestop café, so there are plenty of options for you to dine when lunchtime rolls around. You can visit the engine shed and look into the workshops to see first hand the restoration work going on or you can simply kick back on your seats and just enjoy a day of back-and-forth steam train travel.
