This hands-on falconry day is a great way to get up close and personal with some magnificent birds of prey at this specialist centre in Kent. Begin the experience with a welcome tea or coffee, before enjoying a VIP tour of The Hawking Centre. Afterwards, put on a glove and head across the estate to begin a day of falconry – start by flying a small owl through woodland, followed by an eagle owl or wood owl through the meadow. Then meet and fly Maggie the Vulture through formal lawns, the hawks through open parkland and the majestic Chilean eagle through hedged gardens. After a well-earned buffet lunch, fly harris hawks around the private 500 acre estate and marvel at these imperial creatures in full flight.
