This advanced course looks at how wine is made and the different styles, but also delves deeper into how the climate and soil affect the grapes. You will learn about important vintages, winemaking trends as well as getting value for money when purchasing wine. Learn which wines are worth pushing the boat out for and what foods to serve with particular wines.
You will learn how to taste wine and will sample 14 different high-quality wines during the course of the day. You will spend a full six hours on the course and water and biscuits are provided to cleanse your palate between tastings. Enjoy the fun, friendly environment of this informative course and discuss in depth wines available on the market at the moment. Learn about the New World versus Old World wine, classic wine regions of Europe, both Americas, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
