Description
Take a tour of the Welsh Marches from the air and discover more about one of the most fought-over areas of the UK – and see just why! Get comfy in a Jet Ranger Bell 206 or Robinson R44 and set off over the River Severn, passing Dolforwyn Castle in its picturesque valley; this castle was seized by the English just days after its completion in 1277 and looks just as imposing from the air. Pass the historic town of Montgomery, with Georgian architecture and ruined 13th century castle, before heading to the rolling Shropshire hills and lush Corndon, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Then it's over Long Mountain and Offa's Dyke, before passing the famed red sandstone Powys Castle, former home of Welsh royals, and landing.
