Relive the golden age of steam with a trip to Cranmore Station and the East Somerset Railway, for a nostalgic steam train journey on their 2 ½ mile heritage trail through the Mendip Vale. A must-try journey for any steam buff, you'll take this scenic steam ride through the rolling green countryside, enjoying as many round trips as you like throughout the day. You'll be treated to a refreshing hot drink and slice of cake each at the Whistlestop Café and enjoy the rare treat of getting to visit the steam locomotive footplate! Head up to the footplate before or after the journey, where the crew will be happy to chat to you, explaining their role and show you the well-crafted dials, levers and pipework and how they work together a fantastic photo opportunity to commemorate the day!
Your voucher is valid for ten months, for two people and includes two adult Rover tickets, entitling you to unlimited travel on the East Somerset stream railway for the day, a hot drink and slice of cake each in the Whistlestop Café and a footplate visit on the steam locomotive. Your voucher may be used weekends, March-October and select Wednesdays and Thursdays, June-October. All dates are subject to availability. Your experience does not need to be booked in advance, however it is recommended that you check the railway's website beforehand to check the train schedule for the dates you wish to visit. The footplate experience is subject to operational availability and will require the driver's permission. Footplate visits are limited. You have the option to upgrade your voucher on the day for a hot lunch.
