Description
Your flight will start at the former RAF airfield in Duxford, Cambridgeshire which has a rich history, having seen much action during the Battle of Britain. You will receive a briefing from your pilot then board the vintage aircraft and head south towards London. The de Havilland Dragon Rapide is a well loved pre-war aircraft and there are very few of these left in flight. The planes seat eight and each passenger has a large window to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Cambridgeshire countryside below.
You will soon spot London’s Olympic Village, and then soar over the Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace, along with many other famous landmarks, before returning to the airfield. Once your flight is complete, you will be granted entry to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford which is labelled as Europe’s premier aviation museum. Here, you will discover an outstanding collection of over 150 historic aircraft from Biplanes and Spitfires to the mighty Concorde.
