Jump in a modified Porsche Cayman and learn how to slide around corners at full throttle in opposite lock, rear tyres lighting up like the grin on your face¦ the Bronze Drift Experience at Bovingdon Airfield will give you the perfect introduction to this hugely popular motorsport birthed in Japan but now taking the world by storm. After an introductory safety and information briefing you'll get to stretch your car control skills to the limit as your instructor teaches you professional drifting techniques. Following one sighting lap and one hot lap with an instructor, you'll climb into the driver's seat and start to learn about lift-off and power oversteer, handbrake entries, clutch kicking and Scandinavian flicks, as your feel for the weight transfer of the car improves and you begin to sustain longer slides around technical chicanes and tight corners. Just make sure you don't use these newfound skills on the drive home!
