Afternoon tea was first introduced by Charles II's wife Catherine of Bragenza to the Royal Court upon her arrival in 1662 and has been a gourmet tradition ever since! The delicious afternoon tea spread has been designed by the inn's Executive Chef Gary Woolliscroft and Head Chef Matt Brock. The tea can be enjoyed in the dining area or on the terraced garden with views over the Staffordshire Peak District during warmer months. Savour a selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and fruit preserve and a selection of British desserts, which are accompanied by tea or coffee.
