There is excellent walking direct from the door, and even the opportunity to follow the Ashover Audio Trail around Ashover Village itself bringing the history of the village to life. Bakewell, home of the Bakewell Pudding and the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall, are just half an hour away, as is the spa town of Buxton with its diverse architecture and famous opera house. The enormously popular village of Castleton with its caves can be easily reached within an hour, as can Hathersage, famous for its associations with the Eyre Family and home to an outdoor swimming pool. From countryside to history, public house to fine eateries and shops, there really is plenty to see and do from this wonderful location. Stabling is available for one horse at a cost.
