From here you can tour the network of caverns and passageways, or walk over 60 acres of woodland hillside. This is an ideal base from which to explore the region's attractions, including the magnificent stately homes; the beautiful Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are an absolute must see. Visit the picturesque villages of Bakewell and Ashover, Cardale in TV's “Peak Practice', both close by. Excellent walking can be found from the doorstep, plus activities at Carsington Water, including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and cycling, plus excellent birdwatching in the surrounding areas.
