A warm Highland welcome awaits you at this lovely detached lodge, which is situated on the edge of Tordarroch Farm just outside the scattered community of Farr, in the beautiful river valley of Strathnairn. This working farm is renowned for its fold of prize winning Highland cattle which graze in the fields right beside the lodge. Tordarroch is the seat of the Clan Shaw who formed part of the Clan Chattan at the battle of Culloden. Equipped and furnished to a good standard, the property is surrounded by natural beauty, and makes an ideal base for exploring this fabulous part of the Scottish Highlands, and yet it is within easy reach of Inverness airport.
Only half an hour's drive south will take you to Aviemore in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, a lively and bustling town where you can take part in many outdoor activities, including skiing, hill and mountain climbing, pony trekking and for the more adventurous, ziplining, zorbing and the Segway trail just to name some of the many activities available. The area is wonderful for birdwatching. The rare Slavonian grebe can be seen at Loch Ruthven. Visit the Landmark Forest Adventure Park, a must do for all ages. If you want to simply relax and unwind, sit by the wood burner in the lodge and enjoy the peaceful setting. Beach 24 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 11 miles.
