Leading on from Hope Square is the pretty old harbourside where you can see working fishing boats and if the fishermen have a good catch, you may purchase a fresh crab or glistening fish for lunch. With boats going about their work along with luxury yachts, the harbour is a colourful and lively scene to enjoy. Crossing over the town bridge takes you to the town centre. As well as a good selection of well known high street brands, quaint little lanes house individual and quirky shops. Here also is the main beach, famous for its long golden sands and gentle shallow waters.
