St Andrews, 5 miles away, is well worth a visit and has a great cosmopolitan mix of shops, restaurants, bars, cafés, historic buildings, a sandy beach and harbour. St Andrews is also famed for being the home of golf and has several championship courses, and the Old Course regularly hosts the British Open.
If you wish to travel a little further afield then the Fife Coastal Route provides you with walks to picturesque fishing villages, white sandy beaches and spectacular views.
