There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and for those who enjoy the theatre, there's the Stephen Joseph Theatre, home to most of Alan Aykbourne's world premieres. Travelling south from Scarborough, there's Filey, Flamborough Head and the traditional seaside resort of Bridlington, with its busy working harbour. The Royal Sanctuary for the Protection of Birds site Bempton Cliffs is just a few minutes' drive, where you'll find puffins, gannets and seals in their natural habitat. The towering chalk cliffs are home to thousands of seabirds and has the largest kittiwake colony in the UK. The Cleveland Way passes in front of the apartment so for those walkers amongst you, there are miles and miles of rugged cliffs to walk. Drop down into little fishing coves along the dramatic coastline, or stop and have a break in one of the quaint villages along the way. The apartment makes a great base for a superb holiday on the East Coast. Beach 400 yards. Shop 350 yards, pub 400 yards and restaurant 200 yards.
