Superb Narberth Lodge

4 People|2 Bedrooms|

Property Description

Nestled down a quiet country lane near the charming market town of Narberth, these traditional Welsh barns are situated on a 50-acre working farm in Pembrokeshire's beautiful rolling countryside, with easy access to the popular coastal resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby. Brynbank Cottage (ref OY6) is attached to the main house, S38177 (ref OY7) stands detached, and The Old Shippon (ref OY8) and Brynbank Lodge (ref OY9) are attached to each other. The owner will unpack and put away guests pre-ordered online shopping prior to arrival on request. Pembrokeshire, home to golden beaches, picturesque coastal villages and majestic sites, is the perfect destination in which to unwind and relax whatever time of year you choose to visit. The unblemished beaches south of the county including Amroth, Broadhaven and Freshwater West, are just a few worthy of a visit and are perfect for water-based activities such as kayaking, surfing or coasteering. The former barns lie peacefully in a secluded courtyard, adjacent to the owner's farmhouse, dating back to the early 18th century, where the owners have sympathetically converted them into spacious holiday accommodation. Each barn has retained much of its original charm and character, including stone walls and oak beams, and lots of welcoming touches have been added to provide guests with an unforgettable holiday experience. Outside, guests can relax on a secluded enclosed patio, which is perfect for alfresco dining on a sunny day. The regency market town of Narberth, with its multi-coloured Edwardian and Georgian buildings, is well worth a visit and home to highly acclaimed restaurants and independent shops selling a whole range of exquisite items, from fine art to fine food, rubbing shoulders with vintage and antique shops. For an interesting day out, take a trip to Tenby and indulge in one of the numerous cafés, gift shops or many restaurants tucked away in its historic walls, or wander down to the sandy haven of the award-winning harbour beach, with its sheltered bay, golden sands and crystal blue waters. A trip to the resort would not be complete without taking a boat ride across to the off-shore island of Caldey, home to its Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks who have made it a holy island for hundreds of years. Away from the resort, the gourmet town of Saundersfoot is well worth a visit, as are the numerous historic sites dotted around the county including Manorbier, Carew and Pembroke castles. For family time together, visit the award-winning leisure attractions of Folly Farm, Oakwood and Anna's Welsh Zoo, famous as the habitat of Wales' first ever rhinoceros. Beach 6 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

Spacious, beamed living room with wood-burning stove. Spacious, beamed farmhouse-style kitchen/dining room with electric range (for cooking). First floor: Double bedroom. Twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower over corner bath and toilet.
