The beautiful sandy North Beach is less than 50 metres from the front of the building where events like Long Course weekend and Iron Man Wales start with the swim events, and just a 5 minutes walk to the shops and facilities in Tenby town centre which makes it an ideal base for a holiday in Wales. The busy Harbour offers trips over to the Monastic Island of Caldey as well as other Island trips and fishing adventures. Location

The North Beach, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, with its Blue Flag status and picturesque Harbour with busy boats ferrying people to the Monastic island of Caldey or taking out families for fishing trips, is only a 10 minute walk from the property. You can take a leisurely walk to town to a variety of pubs and restaurants which will take you 10 minutes. The Cube restaurant offers an excellent choice of food and you can also book a meal to be served in your property (ask for details). The Lifeboat & Buccaneer pubs both offer excellent pub grub and both are family friendly. Tenby is an ideal holiday let location to visit most of the local attractions, Folly Farm and Zoo where you could meet the family of Lions, Oakwood Park and ride the biggest wooden roller coaster in Europe, Heatherton and try your hand at archery and much more, Anna's Welsh Zoo to meet the Rhinos and Tiger. You could also take a boat trip over to the Monastic Island of Caldey and spend a memorable day of your holiday exploring this delightful Island off the Tenby coast, and treat yourself to some of their delicious chocolate and perfume.

In the summer, the centre of Tenby is transformed into a 'cafe culture' centre, with no traffic allowed within the town walls. The restaurants and public houses take full advantage of this and you can relax wining and dining in the middle of Tudor Square, watching the world go by. The majority of our self catering holiday cottages are within walking distance of the town

Cardiff Airport – 95.4 miles. Tenby Train Station- 10 minute walk to town centre or usually Taxis waiting on train arrivals. Nearest Large Towns, Haverfordwest – 20.5 miles, 33mins, large shopping Centre with many supermarkets like Tesco, Aldi, Morrisons and a good selection of other shops, castle and museum. Carmarthen – 26.6 miles, Large Shopping Centre with most of the supermarkets, and many of the other High Street brands, Vue cinema, Franki & Benny'e, Toby Carvery, Harvester. Pembroke Dock – 14.6 miles, small shopping centre with Asda, Tesco, and a selection of High Street Shops like Argos, Peacocks, Ferry Terminal for Ireland. Visitor Attractions – The local leisure attractions, Anna's Wild Zoo, Heatherton Country Sports Park, Folly Farm & Zoo and The Dinosaur Park are all within easy reach by car and in the peak weeks many have a regular bus service to and fro. There are numerous beaches in Pembrokeshire and four of those are in Tenby – North Beach, Harbour Beach, Castle Beach and South Beach and the Monastic Island of Caldey.

Walking Holidays Tenby Pembrokeshire

9 Court House Tenby is ideally located for your perfect walking holiday on the South coast of Pembrokeshire including part of the 186 mile Coastal Path. The Coast Path was given National Park status in 1952 and was officially opened in 1970 and goes around the Welsh coastline. The scenery is constantly changing from sandy beaches, friendly villages like Amroth to the end of the path at St Dogmaels and dramatic cliff edges like the limestone cliffs at Stackpole. There are a number of Islands around the Coast like Ramsey, Skomer, Caldey, even Lundy is visible from certain points but you do not need to visit an Island to see the large variety of birds, seals and dolphins, the odd Basking shark and many mammals on land as well. You can also head inland to the Preseli Mountains where you will see the Bluestones that were used at Stonehenge and some amazing views from some of the peaks. Go towards Angle in the opposite direction and see all the boating as you stroll along you will also see a vast array of wild flowers, shrubs that at certain times of the year carpet the ground with colour. To the North of the County you can visit the cathedral city of St David's, the smallest city in Britain and home to Wales' patron saint, and go onto St Anne's head to spectacular views of the sea and the lighthouse which dates back to 1712.
