Nearby Launceston has a wider range of shops and amenities and is also home to an ancient ruined castle. Wooladon Farm is very well situated for those wanting to do some exploring. The stunning beaches of North Cornwall are within easy reach of the house. Bude, Widemouth Bay and the local secret of Sandymouth are all worth a visit for surfers and beach lovers alike. The house is also within access of Dartmoor which has many areas to visit and provides some excellent walks for all abilities. There is good access down into Cornwall and a visit to the Eden project makes for a great day out. Locally, Roadford Lakes provides sailing and other outdoor activities. Dingles Steam Museum makes for an interesting day out and there are National Trust properties at Castle Drogo and Arlington. Shop and pub 1 mile, restaurant 500 yards.
