Stunning Aberystwyth Cottage

4 People|2 Bedrooms|

Property Description

S83749 is a charming, semi-detached, upside down house located in a tranquil spot close to Clarach Bay and just 2 miles from Aberystwyth. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms and a lovely shower room with walk-in shower and feature stone hand basin. Upstairs there is a very comfortable living room leading to the spacious dining room/kitchen, with direct access to the external staircase which leads to raised decking where you can sit with a drink and enjoy the sea views.

A 10-minute walk downhill will bring you to sheltered Clarach Bay. In the main season you can use the facilities of the nearby holiday complex, which include an indoor pool, bowling alley and restaurant. Within a 10-minute drive you can be in Aberystwyth, the principal holiday resort of the west coast of Wales. It is also home to the University of Wales Aberystwyth and the National Library. Nestled between three hills and two beaches, the town has castle ruins, a pier and a harbour. At the far end of the promenade you will find the station to the longest electric cliff railway in Britain. Take a quirky vintage ride up to Constitution Hill and enjoy a coffee whilst you sit and soak up the stunning view of Cardigan Bay and the surrounding hills and mountains which, in winter, are often covered in snow. On a clear day you may see the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon. There's no shortage of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants in Aberystwyth to enjoy either.
You can also take a trip on the lovely Vale of Rheidol steam train, travelling through the stunning Welsh countryside to the majestic Devil's Bridge Waterfalls – not to be missed. Visit Ynyslas National Nature Reserve which includes an internationally important peat bog; the Dyfi Estuary, feeding ground for thousands of wading birds and the glorious beach and sand dunes. The dunes provide a home for many rare plants and insects, and there's a submerged forest where the remains of tree trunks appear at low tide, from the days when the shingle ridge was further out to sea. When you look out to sea, you may see dolphins and porpoises. There are also four walking trails around this nature reserve. Just 5 miles away you will find Borth Animalarium, a rapidly expanding zoo, dedicated to the conservation of endangered animals and birds. Cardigan Bay offers so much to see and do, whether you come for a short break or a longer stay, so why not come and stay at S83749 and discover for yourself. Beach ¾ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile (seasonal) or 2 miles (all year).
